Data logs are how we verify that a tune is actually doing what it’s supposed to do.
Every engine responds a little differently based on fuel quality, environment, mechanical condition, and driving use. A file that works perfectly on one truck may behave differently on another. Logs allow us to see what the ECU and transmission are doing under real-world conditions and confirm that everything is operating safely and as intended.
We require logs because they:
Verify fueling, ignition, torque control, and safety parameters
Confirm that commanded changes are being achieved
Catch issues early before they become expensive problems
Ensure consistency, not just peak performance
Without logs, tuning is based on assumptions. With logs, it’s based on proof.
That’s why no tune is considered complete until it has been reviewed and confirmed with data.
